I studied and wrote about the effects of reflection, material and our perception of space. Focusing on the work of Adolf Loos as he thought of buildings as a series of spaces, and despite rejecting superfluity and decoration, he used a rich and diverse language in his materials, as he saw them not as decor but as part of the building, serving a purpose in how clients experienced his spaces.
Third year, semester one project, The Hamlet.
In 2017/18 I completed a project called The Site Diary. I followed the construction of a residential project from site, meeting with the head contractor, plumber, electrician, architect and client. Seeing how an active site works, and the architects role in the process.
